Connection between behaviour and consequence
Token boards are visual and tangible systems used in educational settings to reinforce positive behaviours by awarding tokens for specific actions. Each time a student exhibits a desired behavior, they earn a token, which can be accumulated on the board. Once a predetermined number of tokens is collected, the student can exchange them for a preferred reward or privilege. This system is particularly beneficial for students with autism and other developmental disabilities as it provides clear reinforcement, making the connection between behaviour and consequence more understandable.
