A 3-point scale is a simple, visual tool used to help autistic students, express their feelings, behaviors, or levels of understanding in a structured manner. Typically, these scales consist of three distinct points that represent varying degrees of intensity or frequency.

A 5-point scale is a visual tool often used in educational settings, particularly with autistic students. This scale typically ranges from 1 to 5, where each number corresponds to a specific level of understanding, emotion, or behavior. The purpose of these scales is to help students communicate their feelings, needs, or levels of comprehension in a structured manner.
