Sensory Processing Differences in the Classroom

Students with autism often have difficulties in the way they process sensations. Differences in sensory processing can affect the way a student responds behaviorally and emotionally.
This course provides learners with: 

• Instruction on how to support sensory differences in the classroom.  
• An understanding of the body’s sensory systems and the importance of developing self-regulation and motor skills. 
• A review of how to identify behaviors that suggest sensory processing differences. 
• Details on how to implement sensory motor tools and supports in the classroom specifically designed to promote self-regulation skills
