Mikki Hymus: Universal Design for Learning
Mikki Hymus, School Principal at Gateway Public School, discussed the concept of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), which promotes multiple means of engagement with curriculum and learning materials, multiple ways of representing knowledge, and various entry points to learning. She illustrated these ideas with real-world examples such as accessibility features on an iPhone, closed captions, and automatic doors.
